Martin Luther King Center & Memorial: Consists of several buildings including Martin Luther King Jr.'s boyhood home and the original Ebenezer Baptist Church, the church where King was baptized and both his father Martin Luther King, Sr., and he were pastors. The buildings included in the site make up 35 acres. The Visitor Center contains a museum that chronicles the American Civil Rights Movement and the path of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The 1894 Fire Station No. 6 served the Sweet Auburn community until 1991, and now contains a gift shop and an exhibit on desegregation in the Atlanta Fire Department. The "I Have a Dream" International World Peace Rose Garden, and a memorial tribute to Mohandas K. Gandhi are part of the site, as is the "International Civil Rights Walk of Fame" which commemorates some of the courageous pioneers who worked for social justice.
Oakland Cemetery: Near the heart of downtown Atlanta, a hidden treasure, a secret sanctuary, welcomes you. This garden cemetery, founded in 1850, is the final resting place of many of Atlanta’s settlers, builders, and most noted citizens like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell, and Maynard Jackson and offers events & tours.

Six Flags Over Georgia: Is a 290-acre theme park located west of Atlanta in Cobb County, Georgia. Featuring themes from a variety of Warner Bros. properties such as Looney Tunes and DC Comics, the Park features eleven roller coasters, including top-ranked Mind Bender and Goliath that have been recognized annually by Amusement Today, and over 30 other rides, shows, and attractions. There is also Hurricane Harbor, a 7-acre water park included in the price of admission to the amusement park. In addition to the most thrilling rides on the planet, you’ll find a wide variety of top-shelf entertainment as well.

Stone Mountain Park: Stone Mountain is a quartz monzonite dome monadnock & the site of Stone Mountain Park in Stone Mountain, Georgia. At its summit, the elevation is 1,686 feet & 825 feet above the surrounding area. The Mountain is well-known for the enormous rock relief on its north face, the largest bas-relief sculpture in the world. The carving depicts three Confederate figures during the Civil War: Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, & Jefferson Davis.
Some of the many activities are golf, lodging & a cable car ride to the historic, carved peak. Museum: Features artifacts & stories that span 12,000 years, from ancient civilizations that lived on the mountain to the present-day park. Sweet Auburn Historic District: Is a historic African-American neighborhood along and surrounding Auburn Avenue, east of downtown Atlanta along a short mile and a half of Auburn Avenue. The District reflects the history, heritage and achievements of Atlanta's African Americans. The name “Sweet Auburn” was coined by John Wesley Dobbs, referring to the "richest Negro street in the world." It was here that many African Americans established businesses, congregations, and social organizations.
The Fox Theater: When the Fox Theatre first opened, the local newspaper described it as having, “a picturesque and almost disturbing grandeur beyond imagination”. It remains a showplace that impresses theatre-goers to this day. There is both Islamic architecture and Egyptian architecture. Often marketed as the Fabulous Fox, the theater is the only remaining movie palace in Atlanta, now a performing arts venue. It was originally planned as part of a large Shrine Temple as evidenced by its Moorish design. The 4,665 seat auditorium was ultimately developed as a lavish movie theater in the Fox Theatres chain and opened in 1929. It hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events including the Atlanta Ballet, a summer film series, and performances by national touring companies of Broadway shows, as well as occasional concerts by popular artists.
The auditorium replicates an Arabian courtyard complete with a night sky of 96 embedded crystal "stars" (a third of which flicker) and a projection of clouds that slowly drift across the "sky." A longstanding rumor that one of the stars was a piece of aCoca-Colabottle was confirmed in June 2010 when two members of the theater's restoration staff conducted a search from within the attic above the auditorium ceiling. The Fox features a four manual (or keyboard) 42-rank pipe organ nicknamed the "Mighty Mo". It was custom built for the Fox by M. P. Möller, Inc. in 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland. With 3,622 pipes, it is the second-largest theatre organ in the country, behind the Wurlitzer at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Regular tours of the Fox Theatre’s interior are offered.
